Pavlov

One of my favorite new sayings that Sadie has is when she wants to ring the doorbell. She says, "I need to bark the dogs." Sure enough, Molly obliges every time. Good watchdog.

Breakfast with Daddy

Fairytales

Bebe is enjoying shopping for dress-up clothes for Sadie. This one was a winner with the wings, even though we had lingering glitter in her room for days. As soon as she put it on she said, "I'm in a fairytale!" Then, "I need a wand and a crown." Her teachers at school keep marveling at how verbal she is (and polite, always saying "thank you".) It surprises me what comes out of her mouth almost everyday. Smarty pants.

Happy Birthday, Daddy

We had a great Labor Day weekend at the lake house and celebrated Daddy's birthday with chocolate cupcakes. "Happy Birthday" is Sadie's favorite song to sing and she doesn't reserve it just for birthdays, though it does come in handy when we are actually celebrating one. She often "bakes" cupcakes in her kitchen and asks us to blow out the candle after she sings to us.

Matt and I went to the first UT football game on Saturday, but Sadie donned her cheerleader outfit to get into the spirit, too. We saw several families with kids her age and younger at the game and couldn't help commenting that it did not seem fun to keep a toddler entertained at a game that she would tire of after 10 minutes, where she couldn't move around at all. I felt the most pregnant I have felt up to this point when we left at halftime. There is very little room in those seats. I may not be attending many games this season.

Good night, Sleep tight

Sadie says the most adorable thing at night when her Daddy and I are putting her to bed:
"The sun is going down and the moon is coming out and the stars.."
